Chapter 1

Chapter 2
Under China's GB24284 national standard, fireworks are classified into three safety grades.
Blue label. General public can purchase and use. Fountains, sparklers, small cakes. The main category for retail sales.
Red label. Professional operator required. Medium shells, large cakes. Used for commercial events and opening ceremonies.
Red label. Strictly controlled. Large shells for national celebrations and major pyrotechnic displays.

Chapter 6
Fireworks are composed of color agents, oxidizers, fuels, and binders. Different metal elements produce different colors when burned — this is flame test chemistry in action.
Produces red. Requires chlorine donor (PVC, etc.).
Produces green. Requires chlorine donor. Limit ≤500mg/kg.
Produces yellow. Low cost but hygroscopic.
Silver-white flash. Particle size determines effect intensity.
Bright white light. Highly reactive — must protect from moisture and oxidation.
Industry-standard oxidizer. Stable and reliable.
BANNED in C/D-class fireworks. Highly sensitive — major accident risk.
